excuse me but where is Wakarusa on this list?!
  • I live in Austin, and although I sadly never take advantage of living in such a great, artsy city, ACL (Austin City Limits) is a great 3day music festival that takes place in the fall!
  • Simone J
Im heading to Exit festival in Novi Sad, Serbia. Its held in an old fortress of the city and has a great line up. People, food, culture....Bliss

I love going to the Ottawa Bluesfest every year. it's in a great location in the flats just outside of downtown along a major transit rout so getting there is a cinch. and like the montreal one there broad range of performers that go including big names like the black eyed peas and many other indie bands. I have to say if you have never been to the capital of Canada, Bluesfest is a great excuse to go!

its only a 3 hour drive from where i live, but i STILL think that Sasquatch is a terrible festival. mostly because of the venue. The gorge is beautiful, but the management is terrible. awful food, camping is miles away, too restrictive, etc.
venue/organization makes a big difference in festivals. thats why High Sierra Music Festival, Bumbershoot in Seattle, and Telluride Bluegrass are 3 worth checking out.

Great post! I went to Bonnaroo in 2007 and had the most amazing time!
Another great one for New Yorkers is Siren Music Festival. It is FREE every year at Coney Island. July 17th, it's going to be awesome!
And of course there is always Burning Man, but that would be another post entirely.
