Even though there are times that I'm tempted to buy jewelries while in another country, I would often make a last minute decision and not do it. I guess a huge part is that i'm not a pro when it comes to spotting a fake one and I'm not ready to take that kind of risk yet.

I find very “sweet” your article!!! Very different from so many reporters that would'nt talked about emeralds…but about the “mafia” that is behind this big business.
Next time you go to Bogota let me know so I can “fix” a trip to the emerald mines which are just about 4 hours car ride; I believe you will make a good article out of it.
Did you know that Mr. Carranza is the Godfather of this business??
If is ok with you I will like to give you a present……is just a souvenir from the emerald mines of Muzu, Colombia..or just tell me where to send it.
